Standing within a glacier cave is like nothing I have ever experienced. The potential energy of tons and tons of ice surrounding you is a constant thought in the back of ones mind but the sheer other-worldliness of it all is enough to keep you delving deeper and deeper. This cave was formed where a small stream flowed into the glaciers terminus and allowed enough space for the wind to take over. Mendenhall Glacier, Juneau, AK
